Meet the team
Billy Pulsifer
My name is Billy Pulsifer, founder of KBFC. I have spent most of my life fishing, mostly for small mouth bass on Lake Champlain in Northeast NY. When I was 18, I got involved with the Bass Master's Weekend Series, and from there on my love for fishing blew up! After a few years and a handful of top 20 finishes, I took a small leave of absence and joined the military, I continue serving today. When I first heard about Kayak Bass Fishing Tournaments, it had me scratching my head, "how does this work? by length and not pounds? how are points added?" The standard questions any tournament fishermen would ask. I soon found out all it would take is a Hawg Trough, a kayak, and a phone with gps (or camera) and that was it! From that point on I jumped on with Kayak Anglers of CNY where I fished my first tournament and landed my first 2nd place win! From there I discovered WWW.TournyX.COM and became very involved with online style tournaments. Very relaxed and "at your own pace" style tournaments. Future plans include Blogs, Webisodes, and the KBF National Championship at Kentucky Lake.

Bio
My name is Clayton Mixon and I was born in Pensacola, Florida in 1960. Relocated with my family to Daphne, Alabama on the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay in 1974. I am an avid outdoorsman and enjoy all types of outdoor activities including hunting, boating, camping, and most of all fishing. I grew up fishing both Salt and Fresh water with my family around the Pensacola area at a very early age. Every weekend the family could be found on the banks of the Perdido river which run along the border between Florida and Alabama. When not on the Perdido river, the family would be fishing on Pensacola Bay.
I have been married my wife for 33 years and have a 12-year-old daughter. When not working full-time or spending time with my family I will be found floating around the Mobile Delta targeting bass. Mobile Bay is a great area to live for outdoorsmen and fishermen like myself. The Mobile Delta is a brackish water estuary for many fresh and salt water species. If the bass will not bite, just tie on a different lure and target Redfish, Speckled Trout, or Flounder all in the same area.
I have only competed in a few small bass tournaments to date. I did win the lunker pot on one of these local tournaments winning $125 for a 4lb bass. Not a bad payday for having fun! My plans are to fish as many tournaments as possible in 2016. I am an artist and have an Associate degree in Art as well as having a degree in Drafting and Design. I love to design and make and fish with my own fishing lures.
Best day on the water, was the day I fought and landed a 300 pound, 7 foot long (estimated, Tagged and Released) Blue Marlin off the vessel “Why Not” out of Venice Louisiana. This catch was made around the historic Blue Horizon oil rig just one week before Hurricane Katrina slammed into the Gulf Coast. This was a notable day however, I would rather target bass from my Bass Pro Ascend FS128T kayak.
Outside of fishing I have been an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and Registered Nurse (RN) for 20 years. I have served in the U.S. Naval Reserve as an Artist/Illustrator. I am currently a Cardiovascular Clinical Educator at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, Alabama
